I participated in the Mashed-potato Munch Off at the Green Lake Gobble again this year. I ate 75 ounces of mashed potatoes (4.7 pounds, 2.1 kilograms) in four minutes. The woman to my right was second place. I was intimidated because I had expected them to leave my finished bowls in front of me, but instead they had taken two of mine and refilled them. Each bowl was weighed to be 10 ounces, and I thought the woman to my right was almost at my consumption because she had the same number of bowls as me.

After the show I went to Starbucks to vomit, but that had more to do with expressing my feelings about their coffee and service than anything to do with the contest.
