I do not listen to a lot of music, but I like some groups. I went with Mark and Kristina to see Melt Banana on Friday Dec 11 at Chop Suey and had a lot of fun. This video is not from this show; someone else uploaded this.
It weirds me out that so many people go to these things and do not dance. I do not go out much, but if I do then I want to rock. We met this boy and his girlfriend (Alex and Danielle, nice people) before the show and he was dressed businesslike in a button shirt and suitcoat and slacks and tie. I appreciate people dressing up for these events because I think it shows respect for the artists. I did not really expect him to be into the show, but he was with me the whole time in the slamming section of the dance floor and was the best-dressed person there. I also really appreciate that there was a mix of guys and girls being rough, because it shows a responsible crowd when it is safe for girls to mosh, and also I was glad that everyone was practicing excellent hygiene because about halfway into the act and despite the place being freezing cold I was already completely covered in sweat, almost none of which was my own.
Life is so short and I wish every night could be so sweet. I had a blast, and it was not until the show was over that I realized that almost everyone there was just watching and not dancing. We are all going to be dead for a long time and sometimes I wish that I had things other people have or could do things that other people do, but I am really grateful that sometimes I have sense enough to jump around when other people do not realize they are going to the concert incorrectly.
