I went out on my balcony to hang socks to dry – I do not yet understand or want to learn the laundry cleaning infrastructure – and four monkeys were sleeping on the balcony next to mine. They could have chosen mine for sleeping, and had that been the case I would have angered them.
Monkeys played with my other pair of socks. I had them hanging but they were strewn about my balcony when I found them. To India I brought two polo shirts, two wifebeaters, two pairs socks, two boxer briefs, hat, scarf, coat, on pants, one pair shoes, LP, blank journal, six pencils, folder, legal pad, one each Mastercard and Visa, passport, about 300 pounds, one handkerchief, nylon soccer shorts, and a pencil bag with toiletries. Also a camera and eight batteries and some index cards.
I took pictures of monkeys. I do not think either is good but I was scared. These were my first pictures.
I want more index cards to make flash cards but I have been unable to find any. I was thinking that perhaps I could go to a place that makes business cards and get blank ones.
I will quit tabla lessons tomorrow. It detracts from my study of Hindi. Perhaps I will return. It takes commitment.
Hindi lessons are fun and going well. I get a lot of positive feedback from the least attempt to speak any Hindi words.
